Smoke Crypto Messenger is an open-source Instant Messenger that uses the McEliece encryption algorithm, proven secure against quantum computing. It uses its own server software, SmokeStack-Server, to create a decentralized chat ecosystem. The server is an Echo-Server, using the encrypted Echo-Protocol. Smoke Messenger implements the McEliece Crypto System with four different moduli, including a classic modulus, two variants, and a Super-Modulus developed by Textbrowser. Smoke's features include:
